Flute Recital by Jennifer Toro Mazzoni on November 6 at 4:00 p.m.
We invite you to a recital presented by Jennifer Toro Mazzoni at the Community Music School on the campus of Webster University (535 Garden Avenue). This free concert will feature Jolivet’s Cinq Incantations for solo flute, her own transcription of Saint-Saens’ famous violin showpiece, the Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, and lesser-known sonatas of the French baroque composer Jean-Marie Leclar and the late-Romantic Gabriel Pierne. Jennifer will be joined by husband and collaborative partner, pianist Matthew Mazzoni. All flutist friends and music lovers are invited!

Flute Recital by Paula Bernhardt – Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
You are invited to attend a flute recital presented by FSSL board member Paula Bernhardt titled “To France and Back…in an hour or so.” This event will be held at the Thompson House Recital Hall on the campus of Webster University. This recital will include works by Poulenc, Varese, Dutilleux, and Debussy. Paula will be assisted by Sandra Geary, Anna Lackshewitz, and Megan Stout. This recital is free and open to the public.
Fall Chamber Concert – Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
The Flute Society of Saint Louis would like to invite you to our fall chamber concert on Saturday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kirkwood United Church of Christ located at 1603 Dougherty Ferry Rd. This concert will feature performers in a chamber setting highlighting the flute. Music should include flute duets, trios, quartets, flute choir or any other instrument combination that contains flute. Flute Choir Concert – Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.
The Flute Society of Saint Louis would like to invite you to our upcoming spring flute choir concert. This concert will feature our Adult Flute Choir directed by Kim Hollander and the Youth Flute Choir directed by Kristi Benedick. The event is to be held at the Union Methodist Church in St. Louis and is free and open to the public.

Fundraiser Concert – Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
Please help support the flute choirs by attending our Fundraiser Concert on Sunday, March 13th at 6:30 p.m. at the Steinway Gallery. This event is free and open to the public, but it is hoped that we may receive donations to help raise money to purchase a bass flute for the groups. This has been our goal for several years now and we are making it a priority to give the flute choirs the opportunity to have this instrument. Flute Recital by Shelly Monier – Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 6:30 p.m.
You are invited to attend a flute recital presented by FSSL president Shelly Monier. This recital will be held at the Terry M. Fischer Theatre located on the campus of St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley. The recital will include works by Doppler, Debussy, Gaubert, Ran and Prokofiev. Both Diana Umali and Kristi Benedick will be featured as well.
Second Annual Trivia Night – Saturday, April 30, 2011/Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
The Flute Society of Saint Louis and the Saint Louis Classical Guitar Society are teaming up this April to put on a trivia night to raise funds for our upcoming 2011-12 season. The event will be held at Clayton High School Commons where doors open at 6:00 p.m. and games start at 6:30 p.m. Other games will include heads/tails and 50/50 cash game. We will also have a silent auction and musical performances by members from both societies. Mulligans will be available for purchase as well. Popcorn and punch will be provided, however players are encouraged to bring their own snacks and non-alocoholic beverages. Tickets are now available for purchase.
